So I have been trying to come up with simple & quick dinner recipes for my family of 5! I work full time & I’m also a full time student and sometimes I just don’t have the time or energy to make a full homemade meal. This is something for all the moms out there that want to get their kids fed quickly so they can shower and get to bed. It is a quick and simple substitute for macaroni & cheese and it takes about the same amount of time & effort which is awesome! I’m not saying that this Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine tastes just like Olive Garden or any of the other Italian restaurants! I AM saying that it is cheaper & simpler to make and it tastes good enough for my kids & my husband to want me to cook it again. (Which is a plus for me because of how SIMPLE it is!)
Okay, so on to the recipe….
You will literally only NEED 3 ingredients. You can always add or substitute to make this meal more to your liking. I made enough for my family of 5 for dinner. If you want some leftovers I advise you double what I normally use.
Ingredients:
1. Fettuccine
2. Alfredo Sauce
3. Shrimp
Instructions:
1. You start off by boiling your noodles. I only used half of the box. & that was enough for everybody.
2. While the noodles are boiling, you grab your shrimp and rinse them off. Make sure you rinse them under warm water long enough for the whole shrimp to thaw. The shrimp that I get comes cooked already so that’s another plus for this simple recipe!
3. Once the noodles are cooked, you drain the water and pour 1 can of the Alfredo Sauce into the pan. Let that sit for a couple of minutes, make sure you stir frequently, then you can add the shrimp. I only used half of the bag of shrimp I bought. I let that sit for a few more minutes while stirring.
& that is all that is to it! So simple & easy to make, right? Like I mentioned before, you can always add things to this recipe or take away, it completely depends on your preferences. For example, we like to eat our pasta with bread. So I also bought some biscuits & cooked them in the oven, and BAM! You got your pasta and bread now. Also, there are people that prefer chicken instead of shrimp, substitute it!
This recipe is literally one of the easiest things I have cooked and my girls love it the most!

I’m not a huge fan of shrimp but this looks delicious. I love my food with an extra kick so I would probably add some cayenne pepper too 🙂
