Now like I said, I kind of got the idea from my wedding centerpieces so I was able to use what was left of the water beads and still had some more left over! Which means I can use them again in the future for another centerpiece idea! These water beads are literally the best thing for any type of centerpieces & a little can go a long way.

So basically, I bought 1 bouquet of each color for each centerpiece. So that means that in one vase, I put one purple and one pink bouquet. I adjusted the roses until I felt comfortable with the way the purple roses mixed with the pink.

Once that was done, it was time to spray paint the foam crowns. You have to be very careful with this part and do ONE light layer because it can get heavy and start melting the foam if you use too much! The way we did it was to insert the wooden dowel rod in the middle of the bottom of the foam crown to be able to spray the crown and turn it around just as easily. Once you get that one layer of glitter spray on your crowns you need to let them dry for at least 30 minutes, we stood them in their vases with nothing else in them and let them dry over night. That way the dowel rod holds it up while both sides dry.

Once the crowns are dry, you can accommodate the crowns anywhere between the bouquets in the vase. The roses should hide the dowel rod to make it look like the crowns are sitting on the roses.

& last but not least, the water beads! I used both clear and purple water beads because that’s the way my wedding centerpieces were done and I really liked it! For those of you who have no idea what these “waterbeads” are, they’re basically just these tiny beads that get bigger once they sit in water for a few hours. I recommend that you put the waterbeads in water the night before the party, the beads tend to get smaller, the longer they sit there. You don’t need too much either! I would grab just a pinch of the small purple beads for each vase (so if you’re going to make 10 centerpieces, you will need 10 pinches of waterbeads) and put them in a big cup or bowl and fill it up with water. & for the clear ones, I would use a pinch for 3 vases and put those in a separate bowl to not mix the beads and fill up with water as well.  Once the beads are big and pretty, you can fill up about 2/3 of the vase with purple beads and fill the rest of the vase up with clear beads.

I really LOVED how these centerpieces turned out! One of my best ones yet!

P.S. These centerpieces were made April 14thof this year and I kept a couple to use as decoration for the girls’ room and the centerpieces still look pretty decent!
